Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ("ADA"), the City of Ithaca will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities, including applicants, participants, beneficiaries, or other interested persons, on the basis of actual or perceived disability in the services, programs, or activities of the City of Ithaca.

The ADA does not require the City to take any action that would fundamentally alter the nature of its programs or services, or impose an undue financial or administrative burden, but, in such cases, the City shall take any other appropriate action(s) that would still ensure that persons with disabilities receive the benefits or services of the City.

The City Clerk serves as the City of Ithaca’s ADA Coordinator and his/her office is the point of contact for individuals with disabilities that wish to request assistance, auxiliary aids, or accommodations that are necessary for participation in the programs, services, or activities of the City. Complaints that a program, service, or activity of the City of Ithaca are not accessible to persons with disabilities should be directed to the ADA Coordinator at:
