Curbside Tree Pick Up Extended

Due to large snow falls and related clean-up efforts, the City of Ithaca Department of Public Works has extended the dates for free tree pick up from city curb-sides until this Friday, February 1, 2019.
No specific days have been designated for tree pick up, as weather and time allowance will dictate pick up vehicle availability, so feel free to place your tree at the curb at any time that is convenient for you and your household.
Trees must be to the curb by this Friday, February 1, 2019 to be picked up and disposed of free of charge. No yard waste or garbage tags are required.
Please be sure that all trees are free of any decorations, ornaments, lights, and stands. The trees will be shredded in the city's wood chipper, and the mulch added to the free community mulch pile on Pier Road East of Newman Golf Course.

Please call the Public Works Division of Parks and Forestry at 607-272-1718 with any questions or concerns regarding curb-side tree pick up.
