Local Impacts: College Ave will continue to be closed to thru traffic for the duration of the Water & Sewer project. Local traffic will still be permitted on a case-by-case basis. Roughly 600-LF of 1,500-LF of water main installation work has been completed to date. Due to scheduling conflicts with adjacent private construction work nearby, the water installation project has been relocated to just north of 119-125 College Avenue until contractor obstructions are removed in approximately 3 weeks. Crews will continue to install the water main from 129 College Avenue on north to Dryden over the next several weeks. The crew will then relocate back to 119-125 College Avenue to complete the connection of both ends of the water main.
Recommended Detours: College Avenue will remain closed to thru traffic however, local access will be accommodated as best as crews can. Delays should be expected. Local delivery trucks will continue to be accommodated throughout the work zone in coordinated efforts with City crews. Traffic heading northeast on Mitchell Street, intending to head north on College Ave will be directed onto Linden Ave. Traffic heading southwest on Mitchell Street will be directed west onto East State Street and then north onto Eddy Street.
