Construction Update- College Ave & Oak Ave Intersection

PROJECT NAME: Water Main Replacement and New Service Installation

PROJECT LOCATION: Corner of College Ave and Oak Ave

WORK DESCRIPTION:  Replace section of old water main with new pipe, cut off old services, and install new services for 411-415 College Ave.

PROJECT START DATE: Monday, March 30th, 7:00 AM

SCHEDULED COMPLETION DATE: Friday, April 10th, 3:30 PM

LOCAL IMPACTS: The intersection of Oak Ave and College Ave at the circle will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the project.

The 400 Block of College Ave from Dryden Road to Oak Ave will be closed to through traffic from Monday March 30th – Wednesday April 1st during normal working hours (7am-3:30pm)

Local and emergency access will be maintained from both ends of the block.

UPDATED RECOMMENDED DETOURS (March 30th-April 1st): Northbound traffic on College Ave should turn right on Dryden Rd, continue on Maple Ave, turn left onto Pine Tree Rd, left onto 366, continue on Hoy Rd, and turn left on Campus Rd to return back to College Ave.

To reach points south on College Ave from the Cornell Campus, continue on Campus Rd and turn right on Hoy Rd, continue on 366, turn right on Pine Tree Rd, right on Maple Ave, continue on Dryden Rd to return back to College Ave.

INTERRUPTIONS TO WATER SERVICE: There is a brief water shutdown scheduled for Tuesday, March 31st to tie in the new water mains. Affected customers on College Ave and Oak Ave will be notified directly.
