Throughout the pandemic, the City of Ithaca has taken every measure to ensure the safety and well being of our employees and the community that we serve. City Hall will remain closed to the public throughout the summer; however, some offices have begun to accept appointments for in-person services.


City Chamberlain's Office

Appointments available Tuesday & Thursday from 9am- 3:15 pm

Appointments are currently being accepted for:    

  • Purchasing new parking permits    

  • Payment for scofflaw

City Clerk's Office
Appointments available Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 10am- 3pm
You can book your appointment online here: https://bit.ly/3uG4IoQ Visit the City Clerk's website for important information about required documents, and processes to complete online prior to your scheduled appointment.

Appointments are currently being accepted for:  

  • Marriage licenses    

  • Domestic partnerships    

  • Accessible parking permits    

  • Dog licenses    

  • Backyard chicken permits    

The City's Building Division, Planning Division, Engineering Division, and Human Resources Department are accepting appointments upon request.

Many services do not require a trip to City Hall, and we encourage you to continue to utilize our online tools when possible. Please see the city's website and visit departmental pages to see if your business can be conducted remotely.
 

If you have an appointment and will be visiting us at City Hall, please note that you are required to wear a mask at all times while in the building. Upon arrival you will find a phone number on the door to contact security and notify them of your arrival. Please remember that the Green Street Garage is presently closed for reconstruction. Accessible parking, and limited on street parking is available in front of City Hall, the Seneca Street and Cayuga Street Garage remain open and convenient for your downtown visit.
