Request to Close a City Street

  1. Complete and submit this application to request closure of a city street at least 2 weeks before the event. Certificates of insurance naming the city as additionally insured must be emailed, mailed or faxed to 607-274-6587 to the Superintendent's Office. PLEASE NOTE: this form is not for street permit type street closures (construction, tree removal, etc.), it is only for neighborhood and community events.

  2. Please list crossing streets (i.e. close Cayuga Street from Green Street to Seneca Street).
  3. Will amplified sound be utilized?
  4. Are special provisions requested? (i.e. electric, traffic control, etc.)
  5. Notes
    Notification of approval or denial will be mailed to the applicant prior to the event, as well as the Mayor's Office, Police and Fire Departments and Streets and Facilities.
